2008 N.C. Invitational

The field is set for the N.C. Invitational, April 26-27, at UNC Charlotte. The field pits the best, active players in North Carolina in a five-round, round robin tournament. Players are selected by rating, activity -- plus finishes at the N.C. Open and the previous year's N.C. Invitational.

NM Chris Mabe (Top N.C. player finisher at N.C. Open)
FM Ron Simpson (2nd N.C. player at N.C. Open)

Where:        UNC Charlotte, Burson Science Center

Format:       Round Robin, Five rounds. No withdrawals.

Time:            G35/90, SD/45.

Rounds:       Sat., 10 a.m., 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.; Sun., 10 a.m. & 3 p.m.

Prizes:           $250 for first place, plus trophy -- $100 for second place.
